Questions

How do I know if a fantasy trade is fair?

Add the players on each side. The analyzer compares them twice, by market value and by what they are scoring this season, and gives each team a grade. With both rosters saved, it also compares how many points a week each starting lineup gains, and counts that in the fairness score.

What if the trade is lopsided?

The analyzer suggests players that would even it out, from the other roster when it is saved, so you can make a counteroffer.

Does it work without saving my team?

Yes. Pick your league's format and add players by name. Without rosters the grade is based on value alone, and the page says so.

How are trade values calculated?

Every player gets two numbers. Market value is what fantasy managers pay for him in real trades, from FantasyCalc, adjusted for your league's settings. Points value is what he is scoring: his points per game this season in your league's scoring, priced at what the market pays for players at his position who score about the same. A player with only a few games is pulled toward what the market expects, so one big week does not make a star. A trade counts as fair only when it is close on both numbers and, with both rosters saved, both starting lineups gain about the same points a week. The fairness score is the lowest of those three. Dynasty leagues use market value alone, because it prices in future seasons.
