Privacy
Fair Shake has no accounts and keeps your teams in your own browser. Screenshots are read on your device and never uploaded.
What is stored
- Saved teams and settings are kept in your browser's local storage on this device. They are not sent to Fair Shake. Clearing your browser data deletes them, so download a backup on My Teams if you want to keep them.
- Your team colors choice is stored the same way.
Screenshots
When you add players from a screenshot, the text is read in your browser by Tesseract.js, an open-source text reader. The first time, your browser downloads the reader and its English language file from the jsDelivr network. The screenshot itself stays on your device.
Supporters
If you tip through Ko-fi and choose to show your name, Ko-fi tells this site your name, the amount and the time, and the site keeps them for up to 60 days. The line under the Buy Me a Coffee button can show your name and amount for 30 days. A tip you keep private is never stored. Nothing about people who only visit is stored.
Other requests
- Pages load player and value data from this site.
- Import from Sleeper sends the username you type, and then your league's ID, from your browser straight to Sleeper's public API. Fair Shake does not see them. This browser remembers the last username you used, so you do not have to type it again.
- A shared league link carries the league's team names, players and settings inside the link itself, after the # sign. Browsers do not send that part of a link to any server, so the league only goes where you send the link.
- The Buy Me a Coffee button opens Ko-fi, which has its own privacy policy.
- The line under the Buy Me a Coffee button loads the top tips from Fair Shake's donor service. Like any web request, it reaches the service with your IP address, and the service keeps no record of it.
